3) Customer Support Response Time

We aim to respond to most customer support inquiries within 24–48 business hours. Messages received on weekends or public holidays are normally reviewed during the next available business period.

Response times may be longer during holidays, major promotions, severe weather events, or periods of unusually high order volume. Sending your order number and complete details in the first message can help us review your request more efficiently.

4) Fit and Sizing Help Before You Order

Correct sizing is one of the most important parts of choosing a dog wheelchair. A suitable cart should support your dog without creating unnecessary rubbing, pressure, twisting, or strain.

Before ordering, begin with our Dog Wheelchair Fit & Sizing Center. It explains how to choose between rear support, front support, and full-body support, as well as how to measure your dog and check the final fit.

Depending on the product, useful measurements may include:

  • Chest girth
  • Body length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail
  • Height from the top of the back to the floor
  • Distance between the front and rear legs
  • Width between the front legs
  • Your dog’s current weight

Measure your dog while standing naturally or while being gently supported. We recommend measuring twice. If the two results are different, take a third measurement and use the middle value.

What to send us for a sizing recommendation

If you are unsure which product or size to choose, contact us before ordering and include:

  • Your dog’s breed or breed mix
  • Your dog’s current weight
  • The measurements requested on the relevant product page
  • A description of which legs need support
  • Whether your dog wobbles, tips, drags the paws, or has difficulty standing
  • A clear side-view photo of your dog standing or being gently supported

We will use the information you provide to recommend a suitable starting product and size. Recommendations depend on the accuracy of the measurements, photos, and mobility details supplied by the customer. Final fit must still be checked and adjusted after assembly.

5) Choosing the Right Type of Support

The correct wheelchair type depends on where your dog needs help and which limbs can still bear weight, steer, and provide balance.

Rear-support wheelchair

Rear-support carts are generally intended for dogs whose back legs are weak, dragging, knuckling, paralyzed, or easily fatigued while the front legs remain strong enough to steer and pull the cart.

Front-support wheelchair

Front-support carts are generally intended for dogs with front-leg weakness or injury when the rear legs can still provide propulsion and balance.

Full-support four-wheel wheelchair

A four-wheel cart may be a better starting point when a dog needs support at both ends, frequently tips or falls, has weakness in multiple limbs, or requires greater whole-body stability.

These descriptions are general guidance and are not a diagnosis. Sudden weakness, severe pain, rapid loss of mobility, or an unexplained inability to stand should be evaluated by a veterinarian before mobility equipment is introduced.

6) What You Can Expect From BARK AND MEOW

We want every interaction with BARK AND MEOW to feel clear, practical, and respectful. Our responsibilities include:

  • Providing product descriptions, measurements, and compatibility information in good faith
  • Offering measurement and fit guidance before purchase
  • Checking and packing products before dispatch
  • Providing assembly and adjustment guidance when available
  • Reviewing reports of damage, missing parts, incorrect items, and manufacturing problems
  • Explaining the applicable return, exchange, shipping, and refund terms

Product appearance, packaging, accessories, or minor design details may occasionally differ from images due to product updates or manufacturing changes. Any difference that materially affects normal use should be reported to our support team.

7) Shipping Transparency

Some BARK AND MEOW mobility products are sourced directly from manufacturers in China and may be fulfilled through international shipping partners. Packages may pass through several carrier facilities before being transferred to a local delivery provider.

This means that:

  • Tracking may not update immediately after a shipping label is created
  • International transportation or customs clearance may affect delivery time
  • The final delivery carrier may differ from the original carrier
  • Some orders may have more than one tracking number
  • Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed

Current processing times, estimated delivery windows, destination restrictions, address-change terms, customs information, and lost-package procedures are explained in our Shipping Policy.

8) Product Quality and Issue Support

Please inspect your order promptly after delivery. Contact us as soon as possible if the product arrives damaged, incomplete, incorrect, or appears to have a manufacturing problem that affects normal intended use.

To help us review the issue, please provide:

  • Your order number
  • The product name and size ordered
  • A clear explanation of the problem
  • Photos of the product, packaging, and shipping label when relevant
  • A short video if the problem involves movement, assembly, alignment, or adjustment

After reviewing the available information, we may provide an appropriate resolution based on the circumstances and applicable store policies. Depending on the issue, this may include setup guidance, replacement parts, an exchange, a replacement product, a partial refund, or a full refund.

Issues that may qualify for support

  • Manufacturing defects affecting normal intended use
  • Essential parts missing at delivery
  • An incorrect product or size sent by BARK AND MEOW
  • Shipping damage supported by photos and order information
  • Structural or hardware problems not caused by customer use or modification

Issues generally not treated as manufacturing defects

  • Normal wear from regular use
  • Damage caused by incorrect assembly or improper adjustment
  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or unauthorized modification
  • Chewing, scratching, tearing, staining, or other pet-related damage after delivery
  • Outdoor wear, worn wheels, or damaged fabric caused by extended use
  • Fit problems caused by inaccurate measurements supplied before purchase

Before returning a wheelchair because of a fit concern, contact us. Many problems can be improved by adjusting the frame height, frame length, width, wheel position, harness placement, or support straps.

9) Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

Eligible return or exchange requests must generally be submitted within 30 days of delivery. Customers must contact us and receive authorization before sending a product back.

For an eligible size or fit return, a brief indoor fitting is permitted. However, the product must remain clean, complete, undamaged, and suitable for resale.

Returned products may be ineligible when they:

  • Contain pet hair, dirt, stains, moisture, odors, urine, feces, or other contamination
  • Have been used outdoors or during extended walking sessions
  • Show bite marks, scratches, excessive wear, worn wheels, or damaged fabric
  • Have been cut, altered, repaired, or permanently modified
  • Are missing straps, wheels, tools, accessories, manuals, or original packaging
  • Are returned without prior authorization

For customer-selected size or fit issues, the customer may be responsible for return shipping and any applicable replacement shipping. When BARK AND MEOW confirms that an incorrect item was sent or that the product arrived defective, damaged, or incomplete, approved return or replacement shipping costs will be covered by BARK AND MEOW.

Returns may not be accepted solely because the customer changed their mind, no longer needs the product, ordered by mistake for a reason unrelated to size or compatibility, found a different product or price, or because the dog does not immediately adapt to using the wheelchair.

Complete eligibility requirements, return conditions, shipping responsibilities, inspection procedures, and refund timelines are available in our Refund Policy.

10) Safety, Comfort, and Gradual Training

A mobility product should help support your dog without causing pain, excessive pressure, skin irritation, or an unnatural posture.

When introducing a wheelchair:

  • Begin with short sessions on a flat, non-slip surface
  • Make sure your dog is centered in the frame
  • Check that straps lie flat and do not press into the armpits, groin, or abdomen
  • Make sure the paws clear the ground without over-lifting the hips or shoulders
  • Check all contact areas for redness, heat, rubbing, or hair loss after each session
  • Increase usage gradually as your dog becomes more comfortable and confident

Stop using the product if your dog shows signs of pain, panic, breathing difficulty, worsening weakness, unusual posture, persistent rubbing, or skin injury.

BARK AND MEOW provides mobility products and general educational guidance. We do not diagnose medical conditions or replace veterinary care. Ask your veterinarian or canine rehabilitation professional whether a wheelchair is appropriate when your dog has a recent injury, significant pain, a rapidly changing condition, or complex medical needs.
